Yes – architecturally, not just by policy. Your founder profile and your ratings live in separate tables and are never joined in any response Top Rail returns. Not to the VCs you rate, not to other founders, not to anyone beyond what's needed to verify you're real.
Once every 90 days. The lock prevents both spam praise and pile-on negative ratings, keeping the data calibrated to real interactions rather than mood swings.
Every contributor is verified before they can rate, and we re-check periodically. No bots, no PR teams, no competitors leaving reviews of competitors.
No. Structurally impossible. Your founder ID is never stored in the same database row as your rating. We separate verification from attribution – and then discard the link. Even we can't trace a specific review back to you.
Registered founders only. VCs, their staff, and anyone outside the founder community cannot access ratings. We verify every signup.
You'll see every firm's score right next to its rating count — '4.4 from 6 ratings' reads very differently from '4.4 from 1 rating.' We don't hide thin data; we show it honestly and let the count tell you how much weight to give it.
Yes. Every account starts with 2 free GP profile views. You can earn up to 6 more – +1 per rating you submit (capped at +3) and +1 per founder you invite who submits their own first rating (capped at +3). Total maximum on the free plan is 8.
