How your anonymity works
How Top Rail keeps your identity out of the data investors and other founders see.

Verification, separated from your submission
When you register, we confirm you're a real founder. That verification (your email, your company, the link to your specific rating or shoutout) lives in a separate record. That's the only place where your identity and your ratings or shoutouts sit together.

The submission carries no identity
Your ratings and shoutouts are stored without any link back to you. The record of your rating or shoutout is structurally indistinguishable from any other founder's.

The bridge is internal
The verification record is never returned by any public endpoint. Firms, other founders, and visitors cannot query the link between a rating or shoutout and the founder who made it. The only time we consult this record is when you sign in and ask Top Rail for your own ratings or shoutouts.

Invisible to VC firms
VC firms see none of your data. Not your identity, not your ratings, not your shoutouts, not the fact that you've used Top Rail. Your participation is invisible from the firm side.
What we never share with investors
Through any Top Rail surface (public APIs, dashboards, leaderboards), investors and other founders never see:
· Your name
· Your email address
· Your company name
· That you submitted a rating or shoutout
· Your specific scores
